We had a busy online American baking class making homemade bagels and brownies. It is one of my favourite classes to teach as I find making bagels a lot of fun and always a treat to eat.

Here are two bagel topping ideas, one sweet and one savoury.

Blueberry cream cheese: stir 30g of blueberry jam (or any flavour) into 100g softened cream cheese (I recommend full-fat Philadelphia Cream Cheese).

Herby cream cheese: Stir a heaped tablespoon of finely chopped mixed herbs with some salt and pepper into 100g softened cream cheese (I recommend chives, parsley, and dill or mint).
