Hen Party Baking Class
Bride-to-be Victoria together with friends and family show off their handmade macarons after a fun morning in the workshop last weekend. Celebrating a hen party or special birthday?
We offer the best of British, American and world baking through our fun, informal classes. They range from basic to more advanced techniques, to baking for kids and teens, always focussing on great results.
Our location at the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds gives us unique access to local producers and delicious ingredients to use while you learn in-person, online, or one-to-one with our founder, Susie.
Whether you’re starting your baking adventure or a baking whizz who’s looking for inspiration, you’ll find it at our small, friendly, classes, held in Susie’s home kitchen. We can’t wait to meet you!
Hi, I’m Susie, founder of The Cotswolds Baking Workshop.
Born on Route 66 in New Mexico, I learned my baking at home in Albuquerque before moving here 25 years ago and tackling the British teatime classes as well as teaching baking at teaching freelance baking.
In 2017 I won Gordon Ramsay’s Culinary Genius USA. I have also worked with a specialist company, teaching Parisian style macarons and American baking.
I offer fun, interactive baking experiences either online or in face-to-face workshops, for small groups or one-to-one. I also run baking parties for kids, teens and adults and Airbnb Experiences in British baking for visitors and expats – think Scone Workshops and Traditional Afternoon Tea.
When I’m not creating artisan baking classes to build confidence and inspire enjoyment, you’ll find me walking the Cotswolds, long-distance swimming – and eating delicious cakes!
Whether you’re starting your baking adventure or you’re a baking whizz who’s looking for inspiration, you’ll find it at our small, friendly classes.

Spent a wonderful day with talented French pastry chef Fanny Zanotti baking Swedish treats in a traditional bagarstuga (baker’s cottage) as part of my Swedish baking retreat!
Spent the most unforgettable morning learning the art of kanelbullar (traditional Swedish cinnamon buns) at award-winning baker Linda Walstrom’s charming B&B in the gorgeous Stockholm archipelago.
I’m getting into the Scandi baking spirit with these delicious semlor—light, cardamom-scented buns filled with marzipan and clouds of whipped cream, finished with a dusting of powdered sugar.
I can hardly believe it’s been four years since I first tied on my branded apron, made my debut on social media, and welcomed bakers to my classes!
What an incredible year it’s been at the Cotswolds Baking Workshop. From moving into our beautiful new premises to sharing so many laughs, skills, and delicious bakes with all of you, 2024 has been one to remember!
