It’s been great teaching face-to-face again after months on Zoom. On Saturday we had a fun afternoon of baking, making cheese scones, nutty blondie bars, scotch quail eggs, and sausage rolls with spicy ketchup. Yum!

Sharing some absolutely delicious Portuguese custard tarts that I baked over the weekend. Homemade puff pastry is filled with a lemon and cinnamon flavoured custard, pressed into specially shaped tins, and baked in a hot oven.
A bit of French baking today as I develop some new Autumn classes. This Strawberry Paris Brest is made with choux pastry, filled with strawberry mousseline, jam, fresh strawberries, and topped with a dusting of icing sugar. Yum!

I had a busy weekend of baking parties! We baked the strawberry version of these gorgeous little cakes along with quail egg scotch eggs, and Italian breads.
It’s great to be teaching in-person classes again. A busy but fun weekend teaching two private baking classes, a savoury picnic food class on Saturday and a Parisian-style Macaron class on Sunday. Fortunately the weather was cooperative too so participants were able to enjoy their picnic treats outside!
